 | Ashley Booker
Born and raised in Saint Paul’s Summit-University area, Ashley has always been dedicated to giving back to her community and improving the lives of underserved populations. A graduate of Humboldt High School, and a Multicultural Excellence Program (MEP) alum, Ashley earned her B.A. from the University of Minnesota in the Sociology of Law, Criminology & Deviance.
She has worked on a number of research projects and studies concerning racial and ethnic disparities, and the academic achievement gap in American schools. Most recently, Ashley worked as a Pathway Facilitator in the Office of Equity and Integration at the East Metro Integration District. Ashley truly believes that achieving equity in education is possible, and she is committed to making this a reality.
Ashley is currently a graduate student at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, working on her Master’s of Arts in Education degree. When Ashley is not working or attending classes, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, enjoying leisurely games of golf, and expanding her extensive music collection.
