The Alumni Team has a Mission Statement!!!

Do you ever wonder why the Alumni Team exists or exactly what we do?  Well, we created a mission statement to describe our purpose and we want to share it with you.  It reads:

concert with the mission of the organization, the Alumni Team is dedicated to helping Admission Possible graduates with their transition to college and completion of a college degree.  Our mission is to track program alumni, which allows us to provide them with the following:

● guidance in connecting with college resources

● workshops that develop professional skills

● assistance in locating scholarships and internships

● the opportunity to support the organizational mission through participation as panelists, campus visit hosts and role models for current students

By definition, an alumnus/alumna is “someone who is a former member,” so anyone who participated in Admission Possible is now a member of the Admission Possible Alumni Group!  Since our first group of students graduated from high school in 2002, our number of alumni has been steadily increasing.  With the high school graduating class of 2007, we are proud to say that we have over 1,174 students who can call themselves Admission Possible Alumni!  We have yet to confirm the number of 2007 college graduates, but we expect great results!  In 2006, we had 10 students graduate from college; they were Admission Possible’s first college grads!

It is our hope that this website will help you and all other Admission Possible alumni get connected with the people and resources needed to thrive in college.  If you ever have any questions or feedback about the website (or any questions/feedback in general!), please do not hesitate to contact your Alumni staff member.  We’re here to help you!
