 | Jeremiah Brown
As Program Coordinator, Jeremiah works directly with AmeriCorps members to ensure quality student-focused programming at Patrick Henry High School and North High School in Minneapolis, and at Columbia Heights High School. Jeremiah joined Admission Possible in 2006 after spending the previous three years teaching English and Social Sciences.
Born and raised in the Central neighborhood of south Minneapolis, Jeremiah’s personal experiences in urban schools, both as student and teacher, informed his perspective on educational equality and convinced him of its centrality to the construction of a more just society. After completing his Bachelor's degree in Latin American and Latino Studies at the University of California- Santa Cruz and working in South America for a few years, Jeremiah is happy to be back home and working with the community from which he sprang.
When not at work, Jeremiah enjoys spending time with friends and family, working on ceramics and biking, chatting with his wife Silvia and adoring just about anything related to his daughter Amaya.
