North students have the opportunity to take a wide variety of electives in fine arts, communication and technology. Students participating in the school’s Career Development Group explore career opportunities within the community, participate in self-esteem and motivation exercises and have access to mentors from the business world. After the four-year program, students will have built a personal Career Center Portfolio. All ninth grade students participate in a Freshman Foundations course which identifies and develops necessary skills for success at North and in future experiences. Students are placed in ninth grade instructional teams, which are designed to support student’s academic goals.
