An important aspect of the Admission Possible program is community service. In exchange for our college preparation services, all participating students perform community service by leading workshops for 9th – 10th grade low-income students on the steps necessary to prepare for college, as well as providing academic tutoring and mentoring for younger children, environmental conservation and awareness projects, assisting in cultural education events and more!

Admission Possible staff took part in a service project at Families Moving Forward in Minneapolis during the 2004-2005 school year.

During our Spring Service Day on April 21, 2007,  Admission Possible students, AmeriCorps and staff members volunteered at eight public parks across Minneapolis to participate in the 13th Annual Watershed Clean Up as our Spring Service Day project. In total, our crew made up about 25% of the total number of volunteers for the day, and helped clean up a third of the total number of parks!   Read more at Volunteer Projects: 2006-2007.
