Alissa Wachter

As Expansion Coordinator, Alissa is responsible for supporting the organization’s efforts as it grows. She has a variety of responsibilities including information technology, administrative assistance, fund development and communication, among other miscellaneous tasks. Alissa is passionate about working to help young people succeed in college, and is proud to be a part of Admission Possible.

 

Alissa holds a bachelor’s degree in global studies from Azusa Pacific University in southern California. While in college, she completed internships with Inner City Law Center of Los Angeles, a non-profit committed to justice for the homeless and residents of sub-standard housing, and with the National Institute for Crime Prevention and the Reintegration of Offenders in Cape Town, South Africa, where she taught life skills courses to young offenders. After college, Alissa returned to her home state of Minnesota and served as an Americorps VISTA with Chosen to Achieve African American Mentoring Program of Saint Paul Public Schools.

 

In addition to her job, Alissa enjoys cooking, making music, reading, traveling, watching basketball, spending time outdoors and gatherings with her friends and family.
