 | Levi Downs, Vice Chair
Levi is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health and practicing gynecologic oncologist at the University of Minnesota Medical School and Cancer Center. He also serves as the Medical Director of the Women’s Health Center. His academic career divides his time between clinical practice and biomedical research. He is the principal investigator of many clinical and laboratory trials investigating new approaches to the treatment of ovarian and cervical cancer. He is the principal investigator of two trials designed to develop vaccines for the prevention of cervical cancer. He received his undergraduate training at Penn State University and attended medical school and residence at The University of Pittsburgh. He relocated to Minnesota in 1998 for his fellowship training and has been an active member of the University Of Minnesota community since that time.
