I am a recent graduate of Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, but I hail from “the good life” of Nebraska.  I got to study a bit of everything with an interdepartmental major in government, theatre, and exercise science.  My recent found love for travel and wonderful support networks have enabled me to study abroad in Ghana and spend a summer working in France and Italy.  After a few summers on the Cheyenne River Reservation working at the Sioux YMCA, I feel right at home in the middle-of-nowhere northwestern South Dakota too.  I love to bike and walk outdoors!  A good cup of coffee with friends keeps my spirits high!  Anytime dancing is an option, count me in; from ballet to West African, I’m game for it all!  I am deeply concerned with ethnic injustice around the world and do my best to stay informed about the issues.  Movies and baking are some of my favorite ways to unwind.  Good fruit or ice-cream is always a sure bribe for me!  As college was one of my best experiences, I can’t wait to help others prepare for the journey before them.
